A Safe, Respectful, and Connected School Community
At Shoreline Middle School, we believe every student deserves to feel safe, respected, valued, and connected. Our Code of Conduct reflects our shared commitment to creating a welcoming learning community where students can take risks, build positive relationships, and achieve personal excellence.
We encourage all students and families to review our Code of Conduct together at the beginning of each school year. It outlines the expectations, rights, and responsibilities that help us create a positive school culture where everyone contributes to a strong sense of belonging.
Personal Digital Devices
To support student learning and well-being, Shoreline follows the Ministry of Education and Child Care’s expectations for personal digital devices. Students are welcome to bring devices such as cell phones and smartwatches to school; however, they are expected to remain off (or on silent) and away for the entire school day, unless a staff member has approved their use for learning or a medical accommodation is in place.
Limiting distractions helps students stay engaged in their learning, strengthen friendships, and fully participate in the many opportunities that make Shoreline such a vibrant place to learn and grow.
If you need to reach your child during the school day, our office team is always happy to help. Please call us at 250-386-8367, and we will ensure your message is delivered as quickly as possible.
Thank you for partnering with us in creating a school community where every student feels they belong, every voice matters, and everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
